Single-ancestor report:
Know about your family tree and just want additional info on a certain individual(s)? This is a great way to find out more about someone in your tree that you may be having difficulties with. An example of this could be your great grandfather moved to your home area in the late 1800's and you can't figure out where he came from. This report can be just raw data and copies of records to aid you in your own further research or it can be detailed and presented as a published report, with all records and sources copied into the report. Single-lineage report:
The most common type of lineage report is a Patielineage. This is a person male line (the line of the surname) which would be a report on your father, grandfather, great grandfather, 2nd great grandfather, etc. The report could also be on any of the numerous lines each person has (such as your mother's father's mother's line for example). This report could be as simple as receiving a list of the names of each ancestor with basic vital information (place & date of birth, marriage & death), each spouse’s identity and copies of each record and source found for your own use. It could be as detailed as being compiled and printed into a published report (bound or unbound), where copies of the records are incorporated with the raw data and any additional life stories on each person. Whole Works:
This combines extensive research, record purchasing & retrieval, composing and publishing. In a whole work, the entire family tree is examined and traced as far as records will allow (circumstances dictate availability of records back to certain dates). Ideally, this will trace every line of a person's ancestry at least far enough back to their country of origin. Whole works can vary based on customer desire. A whole 10-generation work would attempt to uncover and prove every ancestor of a person back to the 10th generation (every person has 512 people in their 10th generation and a 10th-gen tree would contain a total of 1022 ancestors). This could also be a 5-gen work, an 8-gen work, a 15-gen work, etc. It may take more than one volume to complete whole works. Theses can be produced with editable soft covers or permanent hard covers. Click "Contact Us" above for a Free Consultation to get an estimate!
Records:
Records have their own set costs from their various holders and differ in price. There is no additional fee applied to the records (an example is N.Y.S. Dep. of Health charges $22 per uncertified record and you will be billed $22 for a single record from N.Y.S.). Customers receive all records purchased as received from the holder in addition to any work, report or project ordered. As stated above, time used in ordering and retrieving the records is charged to labor. In some cases records will be a necessary part of the research project, but the consultation should give the customer a good idea if they are needed. In some cases (such as records for ancestors still living) the customer may need to personally order the record due to privacy regulations. You may know of a record for an ancestor and just can't take time off of work to go retrieve it, this is also a service provided.
